For more than 30 years, long before she became president and owner of the company, Rosemary has been the face of Dolphin Promotions to most dealers and collectors alike. Inspired by her mentors Bob Smith and Frank Farbenbloom, who established huge, world-renowned antiques shows in Chicago, Cleveland, Fort Lauderdale and Miami, she organized and ran the events both behind the scenes and on-site. Having acquired vast experience and savvy from her many years in the business, she purchased the company from Bob in 2003, a few years before he passed away. Under her stewardship, new antiques shows were established in Chicago and South Florida, and Dolphin ventured into new territory producing 20th century modernism shows – starting in Palm Springs in 2000 and expanding to other markets including Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and San Francisco. In 2014/2015, the company continues to grow its presence with four new events: Houston Antiques + Art + Design Shows held in September and March, a Fall Edition of the Palm Springs Modernism Show & Sale in October, and the Sarasota Winter Art & Antiques Show in January. Many of the shows have included opening night parties benefiting major charities including New York’s Bard Graduate Center, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, P.S. ARTS in Los Angeles, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and Miami’s Wolfsonian Museum, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for these important institutions dedicated to art and design education. Rosemary was born and raised in a huge Irish Catholic family (the middle of NINE children), and while she adores Chicago – her absolute favorite city is Palm Springs. The beauty of the mid-century architecture combined with the mountains views is unmatched anywhere in the U.S. She and her husband Rich have a far more manageable two children: her daughter Meghan, an architect who lives in Boston with her husband Eric, and her son Rick in Chicago, who would mostly rather be golfing than anything else in the world. Her children were the fourth generation of Kriegers raised in a beautiful completely renovated Prairie style home built by Rich’s grandfather in 1905. She is an avid Chicago sports fan and while the Blackhawks hold her heart, there is room for the Bears and White Sox too. Favorite color - purple in Prada especially!
